When folks ask us what Fair Hill International is all about, we have a simple answer: EDUCATION. We offer opportunities for horses and riders of all levels to continue their learning. Whether it is an Olympic hopeful galloping over our 3* course in October, a pony club member competing at one of our recognized horse trials in hopes of qualifying for Pony Club Championships, an adult amateur conquering the drop into the water on one of our schooling nights, or a green horse jumping a ditch for the first time, Fair Hill is a key to their progress. Our wonderful volunteers continue learning as they branch out into different disciplines – working the vet box at the Foxcatcher Endurance Ride or at one of the hazards at the Elk Creek Driving event. FHI is a place where it is fun and safe and rewarding to try new things.
Like any institution of higher learning, our “tuition” of entry fees does not cover the cost of maintaining our beautiful “campus.” Fences need to be painted and mended, fallen trees need to be removed (and hopefully turned into future cross country fences!), mowers and machinery need to be repaired. In order to keep the FHI “school” up and running all season, maintained at the high level we have all come to enjoy, we need the help of our Fair Hill Family.
Donations of ALL levels are meaningful:
$25 replaces one of the spikes on the aerator;
$50 (the cost of one xc schooling) repairs a damaged stadium fence;
$100 replaces the radio that fell into the port-a- john (yes, that actually happened!)
$250 replaces a set of stadium wings;
$500 helps buy material to repair our dressage judges’ booths;
$1,000 helps to cover the cost of repairs to our finish mower.
Contributions of higher levels would allow us to purchase much needed equipment like a water- spreading tank for the dusty Foxcatcher rings and a new finish mower for the Saw Mill field.
Contributions to Fair Hill International, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation, are tax-deductible. Please click this link to pay via PayPal or credit card. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
